Small Church Pastors remember you were called

In John 15:16, Jesus says, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide." As pastors, we have been chosen by God and appointed to bear fruit in our ministries. This reminder can be a source of great encouragement and motivation as we navigate the challenges of ministry.

  1. God has equipped you

Secondly, it's important to remember that God has equipped us for the task of pastoring. In 2 Timothy 3:17, Paul writes that "all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." God has given us His Word as a source of wisdom, guidance, and strength as we pastor our churches. We can trust that God has equipped us with everything we need to fulfill our calling.

  1. God is with you

Finally, it's important to remember that God is with us in our ministry. In Joshua 1:9, God says to Joshua, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." As pastors, we can take comfort in the fact that God is with us, no matter what challenges we may face. We can trust that He will guide us, strengthen us, and provide for us as we seek to lead our congregations.

As pastors of small churches, it's important to remember the calling of God on our lives. We have been chosen, equipped, and empowered by God to fulfill the task of pastoring. By remembering these key reminders, we can be encouraged and motivated to continue serving our churches with passion and dedication.
