Pastors have sermons. Leadership books. Podcasts. Conferences. Bible studies. Training materials. Church-growth resources. Online courses. Most leaders can identify at least several things their church probably should improve. The harder problem is different: How does what we know actually become what we do—and eventually become who we are? A leadership team can understand the eight quality characteristics and remain unhealthy. A pastor can correctly identify the church’s minimum factor and never change it.
